This Privacy Policy describes how Autistic Community Hub CIC collects, uses and shares data when you contact us, work with us, purchase an item from us or otherwise use our services.  We respect your privacy and take our responsibilities seriously – we are consumers too.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the date at the bottom of the page.

Autistic Community Hub CIC (also known as A Collective, and as our sub-brand: Autistic Youth Hub) is the data controller and is responsible for your personal data (collectively referred to as ‘A Collective’, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ in this policy).

Why we collect your data

We collect your data to administer your account and to provide the products and services you requested from us. Additionally we collect data for the purpose of understanding our customers’ needs, improving our services and website performance.

We also collect data where we need to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, such as retaining details about any purchases if required by tax or consumer law.

What data do we collect

To respond to enquiries, deliver our services and fulfil any retail orders, we use personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and contact preferences. We also store the details of the products and/or services that you’ve bought and/or subscriptions you set up. We don’t collect any data that we don’t need.

You may choose to provide us with additional personal information (e.g. for a custom order, personalisation preferences). This will only be used for that explicit purpose.

We also retain information about you collected via our contact forms, if available, and any interactions that we have with you via email in the provision of customer service. We may also collect feedback and ratings, competition entries and survey responses.

Your information is only used for marketing purposes where you have explicitly given your consent. If available, you can choose to sign up for our newsletter(s) at any time and you can subsequently change your preferences or unsubscribe by clicking the links in our emails or by contacting us.

We will never rent or sell your data.

Third Parties

We use a number of third-party service providers to help run our day-to-day business, fulfil orders, process payments and to perform analysis on our business and website performance. We only share your data to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Depending on your interactions with us, these parties may include: EUK Host (hosting), Google (analytics), WordPress (website), PayPal (payment processing), Stripe (payment processing), Square (payment processing), Royal Mail (deliveries), Xero (book-keeping), HubSpot (CRM).

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use the personal data you have given us for their own purposes.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, and that you may have separately consented to share your data with, e.g. Royal Mail. We have no control over the data they hold and so you will need to contact them directly for access, amendment or deletion.

Transfer of personal information

We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US, the European Union and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal data to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your own. In the event of a business sale or transfer, we may transfer or disclose your information as part of that transaction, but only to the extent permitted by law.

Data retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. If you register on our website(s) or sign up for our newsletter (if available) then we will keep your data for the lesser of: when you request its deletion, or 7 years.

Access to your data

You have the right to view, amend, restrict the use of, or delete the information that we hold about you. Apart from exceptional circumstances (e.g. where required to store data for legal reasons), we will delete your personal data upon request.
